Frying Pan Farm Park (Fairfax County Park Authority official site)
This is a great park for both kids and adults. There are lots of farm animals to see or touch including cows, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, peacocks, and more.
What are the hours and how much does it cost to get in?
Frying Pan Farm Park is open from dawn to dusk daily. Kidwell Farm is open from 9am to 5pm daily. There is no fee to get in! There’s plenty of parking.
What else is at Frying Pan Park other than the animals?
Frying Pan Park also has a playground for kids, a country store, a carousel, and a tractor play area. The park also offers wagon rides for a small fee. There is a visitor center at the far end of the park which can be rented out for special events at a reasonable price.
How long does it take to see the whole farm?
Mrs. Frugalee, Jr. Frugalee, and I took it easy and were able to see all the animals and check out the country store and the playground in about 2 hours. Of course, you could do do it faster or spend more time there.
Enough of that, let’s get to the visual walkthrough.
Here are some of the farm animals you might see:
I took some short videos this time for your viewing pleasure.
They also have a tractor play area.
And a few more shots.
That’s all I got. Hope you enjoyed my quick tour of Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon, Virginia.
